Main Entry Grades | Kindergarten and Grade 9
To begin the process, applicant families ONLY need to submit the online application with the non-refundable $75 application fee. The remaining supplemental forms should be completed as soon as possible and before January 15. Priority is given to applications completed by January 15.
Attrition-based Grades | All grades except Kindergarten and Grade 9
Families interested in attrition-based grades are always encouraged to submit an online application. No fee is required until an application becomes active. Applicants should send a current school report and, if taken, standardized independent school testing (ECAA, ISEE, or SSAT as applicable). Applications will be put on HOLD pending availability, and families will be contacted as openings occur. All supplemental materials can be completed once an application has been activated.
- Applications close once all interview slots are filled.
- All application materials should be submitted by January 15. In situations where current school reports may not be available until after this date, we will work with families directly.
- Families applying after January 15 should contact the Admissions Office regarding grade openings.

Scheduling Interviews | Upon receipt of the online application, the Admissions Office will contact families via email to schedule interviews for grades in which there are openings. Please allow for processing time.
Application Follow-up | It is each family’s responsibility to ensure that all application information has been received by Friends Seminary. Families have immediate access to the status of their application through their Ravenna Solutions account. No decision can be made by the Admissions Committee until an application is complete.
For students coming to Friends Seminary from other independent schools, all financial obligations from a student’s previous school must be satisfied before that student can enroll at Friends.
Age Policy | Children applying for Kindergarten and Grade 1 must be five-years-old for Kindergarten and six-years-old for Grade 1 by September 1 of the year they begin school.

| Application fee waivers are available only for applicants from the following programs: A Better Chance (ABC), Early Steps, TEAK Fellowship, the Albert G.
