Day of Service

MS Students Volunteer at AFYA and GLWD
During the Middle School Day of Service on November 29, 2016, eighth graders volunteered at the AFYA Foundation in Yonkers and helped sort medical supplies. The AFYA Foundation collects unused medical supplies from hospitals and doctors' offices and re-diverts them to disaster relief foundations. Seventh graders traveled to the God's Love We Deliver kitchen and offices in Manhattan and created holiday cards for the organization's clients. The students also toured the facility and met with volunteers. God's Love cooks 5,800 meals each weekday, delivering them to clients living with life-altering illnesses in all five boroughs of New York City, Westchester and Nassau Counties, and Hudson County, New Jersey.
