Middle School Mathematicians

After competing in the American Mathematics Competition, several Middle School students received recogition for their achievments.
The AMC 8 (American Mathematics Competition) is a competition in middle school mathematics designed to promote the development of problem-solving skills. The AMC 8 provides an opportunity for middle school students to develop positive attitudes towards analytical thinking and mathematics that can assist in future careers. Students apply classroom learned skills to unique, non-traditional, and often outside-of-the-box problem-solving challenges in a low-stress and friendly environment.

Each year, hundreds of schools around the country participate in the AMC 8. This year close to 100,000 students participated nationwide, of whom 75 were Friends 6-8th graders. Congratulations to all of our participants! Here are some students who performed particularly well on this year’s AMC8.
