TECH CLASSES w/ Tim Cooper
An IPad Invasion

Thursday, November 17th, 3:30-5:30
Open to 4th and 5th Graders
There has been a visitation to Friends by aliens. The aliens have sneaked away without anyone catching a glimpse of them, but they have left evidence that can help us find out who they are, where they came from and what they were looking for ... Student Investigators will use some new technology and software for the iPads decipher clues, collect evidence and make a case to tell us about the aliens and their intentions. Investigators will need to be able to solve some alien puzzles, use tools to analyze data and making a briefing to demonstate their findings. Rewards will be given to the sucessful.

Making Light
Saturday, December 3rd, 10 am-3pm
Open to Middle Schoolers
As the darkest day of year approaches, many cultures use artificial lights to counter the dark days. Menorahs, Christmas Lights, Yule Logs, and other means of artificail lights are some examples of this. Using electronics parts, some wirecutters and a soldering iron, you can create lights of your own to celebrate in your own way. Students will be introduced to several electronic tools and skills, offered the following projects and given guided help to complete them. Students will also create a joint light display that will be displayed at Friends in the winter months. Workshop and materials fee $400

Get ready: the entire animal kingdom is crawling, slithering, hopping and flying into Friends! So come join Anthony and get up close and personal with all
of his touch-friendly animals.


Singing Stories with Songman Lou

This interactive singing, clapping, humming, strumming, and yes, dancing session is all about fun, fun, fun. Songman Lou will lead the group in some
of his sing-a-long favorites as well as following along with his giant books. We can swim like fish, jump like frogs, or chomp like a frog!
