"We prepare students to engage in the world that is and to help bring about a world that ought to be."

Author, Lynne Kelly Spent the Day with the Middle School

On November 15, Lynne Kelly, author of Chained, spent the day speaking to students in Grades 5 to 7. She talked about her writing process and where she drew her inspiration for her story of a ten year-old boy that leaves his desert village in India to work off a family debt as a circus elephant keeper.

Ms. Kelly also gave a sneak preview of her next book, which she promises will be much lighter in tone.
