Seniors Discuss Integrity at Leadership Conference

In early February, three Friends seniors accompanied by teacher Ben Frisch attended the 17th Annual Quaker Youth Leadership Conference.
The program and workshops focused on the theme “Spicing up the 21st Century with Integrity” and were organized by students at the host schools, Westtown Friends School and Delaware Valley Friends School. The annual leadership conference had 24 schools represented with 200 students and teachers attending.

Students engaged in topics such as Quaker decision-making, student disciplinary committees, how to plan a campaign for environmental change, Friends Committee on National Legislation and Conscientious Objection. We hope to send a delegation twice as big next year!

Friends Seminary hosted the 2nd conference in 1999 and the 7th in 2004.
