Basketball Teams Finish Strong

Friends Seminary’s varsity and junior varsity basketball teams wrap up respectable seasons.
Varsity Girls
The girls team earned a number 4 seed in the AAIS tournament but lost in the first round against The Brearley School. They finished with a respectable 7-10 record. Both the athletes and Coach George Stork did an excellent job throughout the season. Good job, team!

Junior Varsity Boys
The junior boys varsity team had a great season and won the ACIS regular season championship. Unfortunately, the team lost in the ACIS tournament finals to Dwight School 54-39. They finished with an astounding 18-5 record. Congratulations to Coach Adam Cash, Assistant Coach Marshall Heinberg and the players for a terrific season!

Varsity Boys – Season Continues
The older boys finished third in an extremely competitive leave and lost a tough semi-final game on Friday to eventual champion, Dwight School, 57-51.

The varsity team has been selected to play in the NYSAIS tournament. They will play at Columbia Prep on Wednesday, February 26 at 5:00 PM. The entire Friends Seminary community is invited and encouraged attend this final tournament game. Hoot for Friends!
