Minute of Appreciation
Hope Franz Ligori '44
Office Assistant and Registrar, 1969-1984
Staff Emerita

While her indelible service to Friends Seminary spanned the 25 years from 1969-1984, Hope's loyalty to the School spans six decades. A proud member of Friends Seminary's Class of 1944 - she celebrated her 60th reunion last year -- Hope has been a dedicated alumna; from her regular attendance at alumni and school events to her steady support of the Annual Fund - she remains unfailingly committed to her alma mater.    Hope returned to Friends in 1969 working first in the PTA/Alumni Office, then as Executive Secretary to the Principal, and finally as School Registrar where for 15 years her cheerful and welcoming nature on the phone would often serve as the first, and key, introduction for families inquiring about Friends Seminary. A great keeper of the School's history with reminiscences of activities such as ice-skating on the pond situated where the 1964 Building now stands - she has helped preserve and record snapshots of, and insights into, Friends Seminary's 219-year history.  We express heartfelt gratitude for the breadth and depth of service Hope gave to Friends Seminary and are proud to honor her as Staff Emerita.
