Big Fat Service Day

More than 250 Friends Seminary alumni, students, parents and faculty participated in Big Fat Service Day on April 19.
Activities included:
  • Meal preparation for guests of the Friends Shelter 
  • Spring cleaning for the Friends Shelter
  • It’s My Park Day Garden of Forgiveness cleanup for Stuyvesant Square Park
  • Gardening in the Outer and Inner Courtyard flower beds and window boxes at Friends
  • Birthday-in-a-Box assembly for Volunteers of America
  • Rainbow loom bracelet-making to benefit the Kopila Valley School in Nepal
  • Making pottery bowls for Empty Bowls hunger event in May
