Seniors at Friends Help Out Senior Citizens
On Sunday, September 16, a group of Friends seniors assisted DOROT in Rosh Hashanah holiday package delivery to senior citizens in Manhattan. Dorot is a nonprofit organization whose goal is to alleviate social isolation and provide services to older adults. After a training session, student volunteers conducted several home visits to deliver the packages, and they also spent time having intergenerational conversations.
