Ben Smith

Member of 15th Street Meeting

Ben is a birthright Quaker who was raised as a member of Bethesda Friends Meeting and is now a member of 15th Street Meeting. He graduated from Sidwell Friends School and Haverford College, and he also worked for many years on the staff of the Baltimore Yearly Meeting Camping Program. Ben is deputy director of legislative affairs for the New York City Department of Transportation. Previously he worked for Council Member Brad Lander as Director of Policy and Budget after working for over a decade as a program manager at the Center For Court Innovation. He received an M.P.A. from Baruch College.
