Friends Participates in National Walkout
Exactly one month after 17 people were killed at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, students, faculty and staff joined tens of thousands of students across the U.S. in an extraordinary national walkout on March 14, 2018. The protest, which was to highlight Congress’ inaction against the gun violence plaguing our schools, was held at 10 a.m. local time across time zones. It lasted 17 minutes, one minute for each of the victims killed at the high school. View photos of the Friends walkout here.
