This Thursday, January 16, our 24th Annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Birthday Concert will be held at the Meetinghouse at 7PM. All are welcome. $20 ticket donations are encouraged but not required.

This concert provides much-needed operating funds for the Friends Shelter and showcases Friends Seminary student musicians. The Meetinghouse Jazz Orchestra lead by Bob Rosen will perform. The music of award-winning composers Scott Nimner and Todd Anderson, guest saxophone soloist Steve Wilson, and singers Libby Johnson and Pierre Cook, a former beloved Friends teacher, will be featured. Our special guest, Public Advocate Letitia James, will read MLK's 1967 speech from Riverside Church.

This is a powerful way for the Friends Seminary community to raise money and awareness for the over 50,000 homeless children, women and men in New York City.
