HOW TO APPLY
Thank you for your interest in Friends Seminary. We’re excited to share the Friends experience with you and to welcome you on campus!
Kindergarten and Grade 9 are our key entry grades while Grades 1-8 and 10-12 are dependent on attrition. No fee is required for attrition grades until the application is activated. Please call the Admissions Office at 646.979.5041 for the waiver code. Fee Waivers will still apply for families of students in placement programs who demonstrate financial need.

To Register for all Events:
Please visit your Ravenna homepage by selecting the Ravenna icon in the top left corner of the screen
On the left side panel, select School Directory
In the middle of the page search for Filter by name and type Friends Seminary
Select the Friends Seminary logo (red brick school house)
Once selected a new Upcoming Events tab will appear on the lower right side of the screen
Select Upcoming Events and select your student from the dropdown
A list of available events will display - select an event and register
Kindergarten is a key entry grade. Children applying for Kindergarten must be five years of age by September 1. Kindergarten applications close once all interview slots are filled.

Submit your Application for Admission Form: Through Ravenna, submit an Application for Admission Form with the non-refundable $75 application fee. Application fee waivers are available to families of students in placement programs and families who demonstrate financial need. Scheduling Interviews: Once the Application for Admission Form is submitted, you can schedule your interview conversations. The Admissions Office will follow up to be sure your interviews have been scheduled. PLEASE NOTE: For on campus meetings, all visitors must show proof of vaccination. For children not yet vaccinated, we will offer a virtual option via Zoom.
On Campus Meetings
Students will meet for one hour in small groups with an early childhood educator who is a member of the Admissions team.
Parents will meet 1:1 with a member of the Admissions team at the same time.
Virtual Meetings
Students meet 1:1 in an interactive Zoom conversation with an early childhood educator who is a member of the Admissions team. An adult should be present during the meeting.
Parents meet separately with a member of the Admissions team in a 1:1 Zoom conversation.
From start to finish these conversations should take approximately 20-30 minutes.
Additional Steps: Once your student and parent meetings are scheduled, please complete the Additional Steps listed in Ravenna as soon as possible and before January 12, 2023.

This program applies to children of Members of the Religious Society of Friends, current sibling families, and children of current faculty and staff. For parents who do not speak English as a primary language, we are happy to provide translators for Spanish, French, Mandarin, and Arabic speakers. Please contact the Admissions Office before the scheduled interview so that we can arrange for a translator.
