"We prepare students to engage in the world that is and to help bring about a world that ought to be."
Student Life

Athletics

At Friends Seminary, competitive spirit and Quakerism are mutually reinforced when kept in the perspective of integrity and team effort. Students are encouraged to pursue personal goals through cooperative effort and in pursuit of a common objective. We try to teach them that improving oneself is the most important goal one can set and that teachers, mentors and peers can all be a source of strength and knowledge. Sport is a microcosm of life, and the lessons of cooperation, discipline, responsibility and sportsmanship are lessons of life as well as of athletics. Friends is a member of the following associations: AAIS – Athletic Association of Independent Schools (Girls), ACIS – Athletic Conference of Independent Schools (Boys), and PSAA – Private School Athletic Association (Boys).

Families are encouraged to come out and cheer on the Friends Seminary Owls! The games are fun and exciting and it’s a great way to show school spirit. Up-to-date information about team schedules and game locations is available on the school calendar. To view the calendar, please login and select Calendar.
