The Paul Taylor Annual Event is a celebration of the arts and community with families from Friends.
Each year, students, families, faculty, alumni, and friends come together to experience an inspiring performance by the Paul Taylor Dance Company.

Lunar New Year Celebration
Lunar New Year is a beloved Friends Seminary tradition and a joyful evening for the whole family.
This celebration honors the rich cultures of the Asian community through student performances, presentations, delicious food, games, and hands-on activities. It’s a vibrant gathering that brings our community together in the spirit of renewal, gratitude, and shared learning. All proceeds from the event support the Henry Lee ‘43 Memorial Scholarship.

The Benefit Auction is the School’s largest fundraising event and a beloved community tradition.

A vibrant celebration of Black and Latine excellence!
This event honors the beauty, culture, and contributions of Black and Latine people, bringing our community together in a spirit of unity and empowerment! Enjoy delicious food, live performances, DJ, and much more as we celebrate our Black and Latine community member and honor our seniors. All proceeds support the Larry Carter Legacy Fund for Black & Latinx students.
Senior Celebration
Senior Celebration at Friends Seminary is a joyful tradition honoring the accomplishments and leadership of our graduating class.
This special evening includes a Meeting for Worship, a reception for seniors and their families to connect, and the announcement of the Senior Gift—made possible through the participation of the senior class and their parents. As the final on-campus event for seniors and their families, it offers a meaningful moment of reflection, gratitude, and community before Commencement.
Contemporary Art Auction
The Contemporary Art Auction at Friends Seminary reflects the School’s deep ties to New York City’s artistic and creative communities.
Each year, the Auction showcases exceptional works from artists within our community as well as notable emerging and established artists. A preview reception, typically held two weeks prior, offers art purchasers and interested families an early look at the collection.
Proceeds from donated artworks support the Artists for Artists Fund—an endowment established in 2022 that provides financial assistance for the children of practicing artists at Friends. Rooted in the School’s long history of educating the families of renowned artists and fostering a vibrant arts program, the Contemporary Art Auction celebrates creativity while strengthening Friends Seminary’s commitment to supporting artists and their children.
