Across drama, music, dance, and technical theater, students discover the joy of artistic exploration while developing the discipline, empathy, and collaborative spirit that meaningful performance requires. From their first experiences with movement and song to advanced ensembles and fully produced theatrical productions, students learn to create with purpose and to share their voices with confidence.

Grounded in a K–12 curriculum that grows in complexity and independence, Friends’ program invites students to think critically, take artistic risks, and support one another as they explore the many dimensions of performing arts. Throughout the year, numerous performances provide opportunities for students to shine—whether on stage, in the orchestra pit, behind the scenes, or through original compositions and choreography.
A K–12 Pathway for Performance, Practice, and Possibility
Performance Opportunities Beyond the Classroom
Performance is central to the life of the school. Throughout the year, students across all divisions bring their work to the stage through seasonal music concerts, sing-alongs, dance performances and theater productions. Across all of these experiences, students learn to collaborate, take artistic risks, and share their work courageously with the community.
